BidderLIVE (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates an online auction marketplace. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform at bidderlive.com and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address, username, display name, and (for Auction Houses) company name and website. This information is necessary to create and manage your account.

Transaction Data

When you buy or sell, we collect shipping addresses, order details, bid history, and payment confirmation data (we do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by Stripe).

Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs. This data is used to maintain security and improve the platform.

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To process bids, orders, and payments
• To send transactional emails (bid confirmations, auction results, shipping updates)
• To send account security notifications (password resets, suspicious login alerts)
• To resolve disputes between buyers and sellers
• To comply with legal obligations (law enforcement requests, court orders)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, nor do we use it for targeted advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment card data is transmitted directly to Stripe and never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data they collect: stripe.com/privacy

Supabase

Our database and authentication infrastructure is provided by Supabase, Inc. Data is stored in US-based servers with encryption at rest and in transit.

Email Delivery

Transactional emails are delivered via Resend. Only your email address and the content of the email are shared with Resend for delivery purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes, which are kept for 7 years).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Security

BidderLIVE is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
